Where it started
Our Story
Our story began long before our business officially opened its doors. Prior to that, Cher spent more than a decade working creatively in the events industry, while Kevin built a 20+ year career in management and financial leadership. Together, we’ve always shared a passion for people, excellence, and meaningful experiences.
As our family grew, life led us down an unexpected path. After learning our second child had some significant special needs, our priorities shifted, and Cher stepped away from her full-time role altogether. During that season, our faith became an even more important source of strength, perspective, and guidance as we learned to navigate a new direction for our family. In time, and with a better understanding of our “new normal”, Cher felt called to re-engage the workplace in a way that aligned with our family needs, our values, and her strengths.
In 2007, that calling became the start of our now full-service event production company, Merry Me Events. Kevin joined the business full time in 2013, and together we’ve grown intentionally —building a company rooted in care, excellence, and trust.
Today, several years later, we’re grateful to lead an incredible team of creatives and production professionals who feel more like family than staff. We support weddings and a wide range of corporate, social, and university events through in-house floral design, planning and coordination, event design, specialty rentals, and custom event graphic design.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: events matter because people matter—and we’re grateful to create experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.
